Literature
1) Complete a tracing and annotation of a page in the second half of the book that compares or contrasts in some meaningful way to the first annotation you did in class. Perhaps it has a different tone, or uses significantly different techniques. Or perhaps it picks up on similar themes and renders them differently. In your second annotation, be sure to use some of McCloud's analytic terms, around image-text interaction, transitions, and synecdoche (symbolic use of details).
2) If you would like extra credit, write a two- to two-and-a-half-page reflection on these annotations. Your analysis may be exploratory, but it should be structured around some claim about Bechdel's use of visual elements to convey her message. It may, for example, focus on her repeated use of visualized novels or written texts in her panels; or it may be about the repetition of some characteristic expression or gesture for one of the characters; alternately, you could focus on ways Bechdel uses different visual techniques to render different emotional states or make different points. Your reflection should draw on specific evidence from the book, and ideally draw on analysis from your tracings.
Material : Alison Bechdel book "Fun Home" / Prezi drawn from Scott McCloud's Understanding Comics
I haven`t done the first annotation in class cause i was absent!as discribed two annotations are required, one front the first half of the book and the second from the second half.
Please make sure you include the images used, for the annotations.
