Board Members' Obligations in Ensuring Compliance
Order Description
You have been asked to prepare a presentation to new members of the Board of Directors of your nonprofit, tax-exempt United States hospital explaining the Board’s fiduciary duties and its role in ensuring corporate compliance. The presentation will be delivered by your boss, who is relying on you to provide all the information she needs to sound intelligent at the meeting. Please prepare (1) 9-12 Power Point slides for the presentation that explain the Board’s legal responsibilities, focusing on the compliance risk areas discussed in weeks 1 and 2 of this course; and (2) accompanying “notes” for each slide that explain in more detail the key messages your boss should deliver, as well as any essential background information she will need to know to answer questions that might arise. (The “notes” feature in Power Point allows you to insert notes at the bottom of each slide, where it says “click to add notes.”
