Your assignment is Case #5, Role #5, American Family Values (AFV). ETHICAL ANALYSIS: Exercise in ethical decision making (verbal40 points, written 35 points). You will be assigned a role : Your assignment is Role #5, American Family Values (AFV) in a hypothetical business situation requiring a legal/ethical decision. In a group setting (no group coordination necessary) you will present the legal, ethical, and economic factors of your character's decision; defend it or give reasons to change it; and critique the other roles. In a 2-3 page paper, due November 4, explain the ethical analysis underlying your conclusion, including your critique of the other positions. Legal and logical sufficiency of your argument, as well as thoroughness of preparation and presentation, will determine your grade. Merely repeating the facts, without independent thought or problem-solving, will receive a "C" or less. There will be no makeup. This assignment is NOT answering the questions, if any, the presented within your case. You are to follow the protocol specified in the Syllabus and the Supplement/Amendment to the Syllabus. You will have approximately 3 mins. to orally present a summary of your written analysis and approximately 2 mins. to respond to the positions of the other stakeholders within your group. You are permitted to exceed 3 pages within reason. Please do not turn in a 10 page paper. I am looking for quality over quantity. You do not have to address the positions of the other stakeholders in your written paper. You may reserve this for the presentation.
