Concert Criticism

Concert Criticism (Essay, (1000 words, typed).Attend and be present at two complete public concerts of classical music during this course. Identify each performance including who (artists/presenting organization), what (repertoire), where (performance venue) and when they took place. Write a comparative review or comparative criticism based on your experience in your own words. Include your response as a listener to the "live" presentations of varied repertoires; to the circumstances and setting in which each of the performances occurred; and to the performers involved. Evaluate these events in terms of your own personal growth, and the validity of the artistic experiences themselves. The performances must be "classical" music of any period, preferably those discussed in class (Baroque, Classical and/or Romantic. The two concerts are: (more info will be uploaded) 1.
