CORPORATIONS LAW
CORPORATIONS LAW
Order Description
Reference style is: Australian guide to legal citation (AGLC)
The focus of the critical essay is on thinking through the theories of the corporation studied and applying them to the relevant area of law. The starting point for
the theories of the corporation should be the required and recommended readings from Week 2. You should not be limited to these readings and should conduct additional
research in terms of academic texts and articles as well as referring to relevant cases and legal instruments.
In drafting your essay you should ensure that you have a clear introduction that states your overall argument and thesis and outlines the structure of your essay. In
addition, you should logically structure your argument throughout the essay (making use of headings as appropriate) and finish with a conclusion that summarises your
analysis and makes a concluding statement. It is important that you carefully draft, edit and proofread your essay and it is expected that it should be free of errors
in relation to spelling, punctuation, grammar and referencing.
Please be sure to read the question carefully and address all elements in the essay. This should include outlining the relevant perspectives on the corporation that
you are examining, outlining the relevant area of law (with reference to relevant legislation and case law as discussed in lectures) and an application/analysis of the
theories in relation to the law.
References must be contained in footnotes (not endnotes or in-text referencing) and must conform to the Australian Guide to Legal Citation (AGLC). The AGLC is the
