A researcher is interested in determining the effectiveness of her public speaking training course. She expects that participants in the training program will improve their public speaking skills (indicated by an increase in scores) as a result of completing the program. In order to test this idea, she randomly selects ten subjects and has them present an informative speech for which they receive a score (pre)*. They then participate in the two-week training program.
