Attach or write your gratitude diary here for seven days.
The diary consists of a summary of things you are grateful for on that particular day.
Everyday you must focus on something different.
At the end of the seven days discuss the impact of this assignment had on your life.

At the end of the week look back at you list and make a chart like the one below and record the amount of time you spent doing each activity. Create a chart like the one below and rate the activities from 1 to 5 (1 no meaning or pleasure and 5 high meaning or pleasure ) in terms of their effect on your happiness.
Next discuss the changes you would make in your life to increase the frequency of your favorite activities.

Take five mini Actions (you have to DO something). These actions should be something that only takes five minutes to accomplish that moves you toward your goal. For example you could look up a website related to you goal to get a telephone number to the admissions office if your goal was to get into a particular school. Next you could call the office. These actions MUST be something that you did this TERM so record the time and date that you did it.

One key to cultivating loving relationships is write a gratitude letter to someone you love. In this letter reflect on the
1. Happy memories you have shared.
2. Express admiration appreciation and affection.
3. Your shared goals for the future.
4. Describe an activity that you are planning for this person.
5. Explain how this assignment made you feel and if you mailed the letter to the person.

1. Identify something you are ruminating about or comparing yourself to someone negatively.
2. Distract yourself by reading a joke book, watching a comedy, do push ups.
3. Shout to yourself STOP or NO when you find yourself getting back to the offending thoughts.
4. Make an 30 minute appointment with yourself (set the time and record it) to think about the topic and force yourself to ruminate about the topic.
5. Talk to a trusted friend, who always makes you feel better.
6. Write it out, write a paragraph to three pages about it.

Acts of kindness have been shown to significantly increase one’s happiness, they may be performed throughout the week, however best results where found when students performed five in one day.
