As part of your class requirements, you are to write a short paper (5–6 pages in length) discussing any of the innumerable aspects of the world’s religions. Posted on URCourses are the following resources for the assignment: 1) Guidesheet. A general outline clarifying assignment requirements, format, and penalties. 2) Possible essay topics. A list of possible topics and methods by which to select a suitable one. 3) “How I read & evaluate your written work” handout. Clarification of my evaluation meth- ods of your written work. 4) Marking rubric. Further clarification of my evaluation method (this sheet will be complet- ed and attached, with additional comments, to your essay when returned). Papers must be submitted in hard copy only (those submitted via email will not be accepted). Students must also retain both a backup hard copy and electronic copy of their papers. Late pa- pers without valid documentation will be penalized 5% per day. Do not slip your late essay un- der my office door but drop it off in my mailbox in the RLST office (CL 306.1).
