Will Hunting is a similar character to John Nash in that they are both highly intellectual to the point they have trouble interacting with others according to social norms. What do these two characters say about the space “geniuses” can occupy in society? How is that similar or different to the spaces allowed to those that are considered “crazy”? This movie offers a more in depth look at the role of therapy and treating mental health issues. Does this method seem more or less effective than other solutions we have seen? Why? How does this movie seem to fit into the other texts and the larger discussions we’ve been having this semester? Is it different in anyway?
