How would you apply TQM Principles to your School of Business to improve the quality of the classroom experience and thus, your ability to better compete after graduation?
This question is not as easy as it seems. As we saw in class, some TQM principles such as Six Sigma tend to work better when the product is physical and uniform (i.e., you are creating many copies of the same thing). However, this in no way means that TQM is limited to manufacturing. I will give you wide latitude in answering your question but – and this is a big but – you must tie your answers back to TQM principles and then explain how you would go about measuring performance – i.e., what metrics will you use? (I don't need to see any calculations, just how you would do them.) You should start your project with Deming’s guidance that “What gets measured, gets done.”
