“There are many obstacles prevent developing countries from becoming industrialised countries, I am going to discuss corruption and infrastructure.
Corruption threats economic stability, and corruption has direct and indirect negative effects on several different economic aspects such as investment which is considered as one of the most economic factors that can be affected by corruption, as corruption deteriorates the motivation for domestic and foreign investment. Fraj (2015) claimed that corruption destroys the development and growth of countries, as it decreases the inspirations for local and non-local investment. Moreover, corruption also destroys economic efficiency, the process of making profits through illegal means such as bribery allows businesses to gain financial advantages which they might not deserve them, as a result closing the opportunities for a fair and equal competition between firms, and thus prevent developing countries from becoming productive and industrialised countries.
Infrastructure investment is a significant force to attain fast and continued economic growth, also the attendance of appropriate infrastructure is going to need for the renewal and commercialization of agriculture and the attainment of more income for principal growth, in addition, infrastructure can offer a base for the growth of native industrialization, along with expanding marketplaces for the productions of these industries (Srinivasu, B. and Rao, P. 2013). They also have drawn attention to the fact that infrastructure has a key role in advancing economic development and thus helps to the decrease of economic inequality, poorness and deprivations in a nation. Furthermore, infrastructural development situations playing a vital role which is very influential and has a great deal of importance in developing countries since developing countries could be more capable of improving and enhancing the living standard of the domestic residents and benefit them to have access to barely sufficient or adequate resources such as water or education (Barron et al. 2004).
