math written assignment
To effectively communicate mathematics in a written format • To explain how to identify the main attributes of a rational function (and graph it) using algebraic methods to analyze its equation (without a graphing calculator, except to check). These attributes are listed below (i- iv). Directions: As noted on the syllabus, a benchmark for Precalculus Algebra is that students will be able to communicate mathematical ideas verbally and in writing. Students will demonstrate the ability to communicate (writing as individuals) key concepts relating to rational functions and their graphs, so that any rational function could be graphed without a graphing calculator. This mini-project is not as formal as a full project, but should be typed, double-spaced (or 1.5 spaced), using complete sentences, correct grammar, and well developed paragraphs. Incorporate graphs within the body of the paper (meaning copy and paste the graphs that you generate using Desmos or another online grapher between appropriate paragraphs in your paper). Provide a brief introduction and explanation of the topic and a conclusion that summarizes your analysis.
