Physical Modeling Synthesis

Acoustic and electronic Now days, there are electronic instruments out there that mimic the sound of actual instruments. Some of instruments are well developed which they perfectly resemble the high quality sound. In music, physical modeling refers to a sound synthesis technique. They generate the sound to reproduce how real intrument works. I want to explore is it possible to reproduce the acoutic instrument and how they do it?
