Order Description
collect FIVE (5) newspaper articles on any ethical criminal justice topic (policing, courts, corrections). Each student will then write a response to the topic of the article. The article must
come from a credible source (i.e. New York Times, Washington Post, etc.) and not an non-credible source (In Touch, Ms. Magazine, People, etc.).
The article should be copied and pasted in word document. If this is in not possible than a link to the article must be provided on the same page as your response. The article should have enough
information in it to provide a clear understanding of the ethical issue.
Each response to each article should be approximately one page long (and no longer than two pages), doubled spaced in 12 font.
Content of each article summary:
write a response to the topic of the article, identifying the ethical issue, explaining how it was resolved (or not) and providing an opinion about it.

select two sections of his book. In (250 words) discuss and explore the role of language, culture and environment as factors that shape the identity of the speaker in each poem in that section.
Here are some guiding questions to shape your short critique of a poem:
-What is the speaker's dilemma/flaw/focus?
-What is at stake in the poem? What desires lie at the heart of the piece?
-How vivid is the poem? What can you tell about the speaker's identity through the use of language, imagery and detail?
-Are there any myths/misconceptions presented in the poem?
-What did you learn about New York CIty, Puerto Rican culture, etc. from the poem?
