Current literature on measurements of emotional intelligence (EI) has not come upon a concrete consensus in terms of their accuracy and relevance. Whether it is ability test or self-report, there has been always a sense of lack of completeness and comprehensiveness of these tests across different studies. In order to confirm the validity of EI, researchers must present a measurement that receives whole agreement from scientific community as well as general public. In addition, standardized paper-and-pencil test, especially when aimed at measuring constructs that are ambiguous to operationally define, has a disadvantage of various biases’ influence on testers. Therefore, I want to propose an alternate measurement of emotional intelligence to clear up skepticism on emotional intelligence. My research proposal is aimed at designing a structured interview that are specifically focused on enhancing the accuracy of recall from interviewees since most questions in measurements of EI are based on past personal experiences (i.e. how would you react in this situation?). I already wrote a research proposal that reports a study of the effect of type of question being asked and interview condition on recall of violent video demonstration by creating two interviewer-attitude conditions – rapport and abrupt interaction– and asking two types of question – forced-choice and binary question. I'll upload this and I want to reuse the whole body and literature review but I need you to rewrite my intro. Please write an 1 page single-spaced intro according to specific details that I'll upload separately as order instruction. I will also upload course syllabus to give you a list of readings from class to answer the 2nd part of my order instruction.
