Connecting the Dots Reflection
Over the past several weeks we have discussed various “theories of the state.” This assignment is designed to make you critically engage with these theories by interpreting a series of contemporary events/phenomenon:

For each article, you will first (briefly) summarize the content. Next, you will critically interpret the article using at least one theory we have discussed in class. In other words, ask yourself how the events described in the articles corroborate, or contradict, a theory. Don’t just say “it’s an example of X.” Pretend I don’t believe you. Provide solid evidence, make it convincing.
***It will be surprising if you apply only one theory to all three articles, but if you want to take your chances go ahead, just don’t be surprised with your final grade.
Requirements:
• (At least) three FULL pages doubled spaced
• Times New Roman, 12 point font, 1’’ margins on all sides, one space between paragraphs
• Your header should look like mine above (Name, class, assignment title—ALL SINGLE SPACED)
• There should only be one space between your header and the beginning of your assignment
