Case study analysis will be evaluated on content, critical thinking skills, application of healthcare marketing concepts from case study, accuracy, and form. Case study should be approximately 4 to 6 pages in length. APA style required for bibliographic citations and paper format. Proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation are required. These elements will be critically analyzed, and a portion of the grade will depend on proper usage.
Be sure to address and thoroughly answer the following questions for the Case Study (also listed on page 14):
1. What do you think about RevFood's re-entry into the CPG market? What is different now, from the times it had done this before?
2. How do the two different businesses (school lunches and CPG products) complement and compete for internal resources?
3. What might be important new areas of investment for RevFoods in order to be successful in their broader vision (i.e., human capital, media, plant and equipment, etc.)?
4. Does RevFood's expansion increase the likelihood of a successful exit (i.e., being purchased as Plum Organics was by Campbell Soup Company, or holding an initial public offering as Annie's, Inc. did prior to being purchased by General Mills)? Given the investor mix for RevFoods - how patient are RevFood's investors likely to be before they want to see a return on their investment in the form of an acquisition or IPO?
