First I would listen to their idea. If I had personal knowledge there was a problem with their idea/change I would explain to them why it was a bad idea. If I did not have knowledge I would reach
out to someone who does, subcontractors. I would ask is this idea feasible, will it impact schedule, is there a cost, and what is the lead time. After my questions were answered I would report back
to the costumer to see if they would like to like to proceed based on the information provided.

COLLAPSE
I would simply say that I would like to learn more about this idea. This way I am not turning down the customer, while also protecting myself by investigating it further before committing to
anything and deciding my level of risk tolerance.

Week 5 Discussion 1
COLLAPSE
You truly want people to be innovative and take chances. Empowering people and letting them know it is ok to fail is key. Always remind people to separate their personal feelings from the project
at hand. Communication is key. Try not to be abrasive when being criticized. Always remind people what the mission and goals are. It is truly up to the person to decide what to say. These are just
a few pointers to keep in mind when that time arrives to have difficult conversations with other employees.
