Sahara Special
Sahara Special
Paper details:
"True things don't always happen in the world, where you can see and touch them. True things also happen in the
imagination . . . " (71).
Consider the novel Sahara Special using the criteria for Inclusive Literature. How well does this book meet the
criteria? (Be sure to cover both Cultural (ethnicity etc.) and Social Diversity (class, family situations and abilities.)
Use specific examples from the novel and from our textbook chapter on diversity to support your answers. If you
use specific quotes or specific paraphrases, you should follow MLA format for intext citations with the author's last
name and the page number in parenthesis after the source information for both the novel and our textbook (you
do not need to include a Works Cited page since you are only referencing the novel and our class textbook). Your
paper should be at least 500 words, and it should be doubles spaced and in MLA format. That means you need
your name, my name, course and section number, and then date as the first four lines of your paper (see
example on next page). Read the sample paragraphs listed under this module before you start your assignment.
