Select a second topic, (different than the one you wrote on), from the National Academy of Engineering Grand Challenges website. Because I used the Reverse Engineering the Brain example in class, do not research this as your second topic. Give yourself the full week to complete this memo, to ensure you can receive any articles that you may need to request. Investigate the topic /or problem to the point where you can easily articulate why it is a problem and what solving the problem will enable. Identify at least two journal articles or conference proceedings that you wish to address in your final semester presentation. Please use Compendex to do this. The two papers need to be peer-reviewed. You need to ensure the articles are peer reviewed by typing in the journal article title to Ulrichsweb. You also need to upload the FULL paper as a PDF to the assignment submission to get a score greater than zero on this assignment. In memo format, briefly describe what Grand Challenge you will be investigating. Explain why the problem is important and explain how it relates to the engineering and the different engineering disciplines. At the bottom of the memo, cite the two peer-reviewed references that you will be investigating in more detail using IEEE citation formatting. Do not forget to include the digital object identifier. Upload the written memo together with your two full-text articles that you will be investigating.
