Explain Aristotle’s virtue ethics by answering the following questions. What is the highest good,
for Aristotle, and what is his argument for this highest good? Virtues are required to achieve this
highest good; what are virtues and how are they attained? How do Aristotle’s ethical views
relate to his understanding of friendship, self-love, or moral education?
The aim, here, is not to argue for or against a position, nor to be innovative. Rather, in
answering the questions you should summarize the ethical theory as clearly as possible.
