Assignment 2: Biblical Perspective on Gender
Beginning with the first book of the Bible, human distinctions have been made on the basis of gender. The assigned readings this week provide a rich discourse on gender roles.
Tasks
Develop a 500-word analysis of the weeks' assigned readings to address the following:
•What main ideas did the authors convey about gender roles?
•Who is the target audience?
•What assumptions have the authors made about the reader?
•What other aspect of gender do you wish was discussed or explored further?
•Of the information the authors provided on gender, what information is most useful to help in counseling families?
Your final product will be in a Microsoft Word document. Utilize at least two sources from professional literature in your research. Professional literature may include the South University Online Library; relevant textbooks; peer-reviewed journal articles; and websites created by professional organizations, agencies, or institutions (.org or .gov).
