Criteria of the write up. - The subject is on Cost of Quality. - Module: Managing Operations and the Supply Chain. - Not less than 2,500 words in total. Appendix and references should not be included in the word count. - Pls refer to the attached document from the University on the assignment regarding the assignment structure. (UON) - There should be 4 Parts and should be in a literature review format. Pls divide the assignment in 4 parts and number them. - References must be Harvard Referencing System only. - Pls include diagram and charts where applicable. (word count for this is not included) Part 1 is the definition of Cost of Quality. It should have about 5 % of the word count that is about 125 words up to 10% more. The definition should be in your own word. Part 2 is Charting the development of the concept of Cost of Quality from its inception until its present day. (From year 1900 to present times). This will require about 15 references. Illustrate your discussions with examples from the trade press and other authoritative source. This part will require not less than 1125 words (45% of the total word count.) I have prepared this earlier (Assignment CoQ, Part 2)) but my lecturer commented that he wants the development of CoQ to be linked through the decades with arguments and references until today. Pls use this as a hint in preparing your work. Part 3 Critically review the assertion that “The Cost of Quality is as relevant today as it has ever been”. Ensure that your discussion presents both sides of the argument and is appropriately referenced. Two articles (article 1 & 2) have been provided to assist you, but these should not be the only source that you cite. The lecturer requires us to use a particular industry for this part. I have used the automotive industry for this. (Assignment CoQ, Part 3) Part 3 will require not less than 5 references. Part 4, is on 2012 Fons paper as attached.
