The firm is seeking an outsourced consulting agency to implement a project plan to upgrade their current hardware. This project will consist of three phases (site survey, cost analysis, and deployment). Emerson Technologies has no experience in upgrading computer hardware. Their management’s strategy is to remove the need for their engineers to work on paper and add more workstations so their engineers do not have to share their lab workstation. • Site Survey The first phase of this project consists of the site survey. In this process, a representative from the PMP Group will visit Emerson Technologies and record a list of the current hardware and software in place of the entire firm. If Emerson Technologies were to choose the PMP Group, consultants from PMP would arrive on site after business hours to work on the conversion.
