Assignment 2: Course Project: Theology of Family Ministry Strategy and Interview Papers—Part A
Assignment Introduction and Context
The course project papers due in W11 Assignment 1 require you to select and apply a family therapy approach while addressing a specific problem or issue that might prompt a couple or family to seek counseling. In presenting the therapy approach, you will need to provide supporting theoretical or conceptual framework(s) by using empirical research literature related to family therapy.
The Theology of Family Ministry Integrative Strategy paper is divided into two parts. Part A involves the library research and Part B involves information obtained during an interview with a Christian counselor who currently engages in family and, or couples counseling.
For this week's assignment, you will complete an outline of Part A and submit for instructor feedback to be incorporated into the final version in W11 Assignment 1.
Tasks
Create a 500-word paper including the following:
•Introduction: Include a detailed review of the problem and provide a rationale for the paper.
•Develop a convincing argument as to why the family therapy approach selected would be an effective approach for the specific problem. Use family therapy and counseling theory/literature/research to support your argument. Describe a few specific strategies based on the family therapy approach that might be effective. Make sure that your argument is strongly supported by citations from the literature paper.
•Summary and Implications
•Describe ways in which the family therapy approach selected is compatible with the theological perspective or Christian worldview paper.
Please incorporate and cite the literature using Turabian style.
Your final product will be in a Microsoft Word document. Utilize at least two sources from professional literature in your research.
