Leaders influence the development of the society in a significant way. In any kind of human group activity there is an individual that leads the group to the achievement of the common goal. These leaders are capable of organizing and motivating various amounts of people in order to aspire them to the gaining of various goods. Plato considered leaders as individuals that posses the set of skills that enables them to control people. This ancient philosopher was one of the first who tried investigate various types of leadership and the influence of leadership on the society (Vries, 2011). Plato claimed that powerful leaders are not only capable to control people, but are also able to establish their own rules of relations between the representatives of the society and create their own morality. However, despite the centuries had passed after Plato's researches there still are issues of this topic that should be solved. Nowadays the researches on the topic of leadership are based not only on considering of the role of the leader, but are also related to the issues of their peers and followers. It is also highly significant to investigate the role of managers and supervisors that are also leaders, despite they are inferior to the upscale government of the company or the organization. As it was already mentioned, there are a lot of issues that slacken the researches on the topic. Limitations There are certain limits that obstruct the proper execution of any leader's duties. There are ways to overcome various defects or issues of the organization by using various methods of leadership, yet some limits remain insurmountable. For instance, leaders are not able to influence specific personal features of their followers. Of course, qualitative leader is obliged to train and instruct the members of his or her group in order to mace them proficient in the sphere of the activity they perform (Kanungo, 1996). Furthermore, true leader has to provide the group with proper motivation, but it is not possible to change the personality of an individual. Leader might organize his or her people, teach and guide them but if one particular member of the group is not a creative person there is no way to make him or her to write an exciting novel or to draw a portrait. Leaders may also provide their people with the appropriate environment at the work place, but they are not able to change peoples attitude. Of course, good leaders are obliged to furnish comfortable conditions for their people in order to increase their efficiency. It is highly significant for people to work in comfortable conditions, however if they do not like their job there is no way to make them like it (Kanungo, 1996). Leaders are also not able to control their people energy level. The employees might be highly motivated, but if they are exhausted it is not possible to expect them performing their work duties in a proper way. Unfortunately, the issue of the limitation remains unsolved. That is why it is significant for scientists all around the world to find the appropriate ways to solve these problems. Credibility There also might occur various issues of the communication between the leader and the members of the group. Employees evaluate their leaders just as much as the leaders evaluate their employees. The job might be great, conditions at the work place might be comfortable, and the salary might be satisfying, but if there is no strong and fair leader the employees will not dedicate their efforts to maintain their work duties in a proper way (Kouzes, 1993). It is highly significant for the leader to provide his or her group with the confidence. The employees want to see strong and fair leader who would be able to help them in a case of any trouble. The employees also demand honesty, because they want to be certain that they are able to rely on their leader. The communication within the group is the essential part of any company or organization's development. The researches on the topic of communication as the part of the leadership studies has been the most significant issue for the scientists. They had been aspired to investigate how various approaches to communication affect the efficiency of the company and the employees behavior (Kouzes, 1993). It is obvious that honesty, sense of humor, positive attitude, and confidence influence the relations between the leader and the group in a positive way. That is why it is essential for the successful leaders to utilize the results of these researches. Philosophical Stance In order to find out how leadership influences the society and what are the issues that influence the process of leadership itself it is highly significant to look through all the ideas and approaches that were developed (DuBrin. 2001). Since the first philosophers understood the importance of leadership, they tried to improve it and form the most appropriate approaches to the leadership. However, there are still gaps in understanding the leverages that make people follow their leaders. It is also highly significant to collect the data that is related to the topic of leadership. There are a lot of materials on-line that brings the opportunity to recognize the main theories of leadership and how they might be applied by the leaders of various organizations. It is essential to know the classic theories that were developed by such philosophers as Socrates and Plato, that were involved in investigating the major principles of leadership. Their ideas had became a basis for latest researches. It is also important to analyze resent articles that were written by contemporary psychologists, because they apply their ides considering the peculiarities of modern society. Analyzing of the data enables the readers to understand how the leadership functions within the society and how it influences people. In order to conclude it is appropriate to mention that the understanding of various theories of leadership is highly significant not only for the leaders themselves but for their followers as well. All the members of any organization are obliged to understand how their organizations function from the inside. Various groups of people require the presence of the leader that should be capable of guiding the group. As it was already mentioned leader is obliged to furnish comfortable conditions at the work place and the appropriate relations between the members of their groups. It is essential for the leader to be able to solve the problems that emerge within his or her group, train the employees and motivate them. Yet, there are problems that are insoluble.
