writing Assignment Read the poems by Natasha Trethewey from our book and the poems by Rita Dove from our book. Choose one poem from each poet for this assignment. Write a 2-3 page double spaced (Times New Roman 12 pt font) essay in which you explain what you believe each poem is about and the strengths of each poem. Also, include similarities and differences in style between the two poets. Be sure to review how to cite poetry (https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/747/03/). PLEASE NOTE: I do not want you to use outside sources. This should be based on YOUR opinion of the poems. You cannot use first person to express your point of view so avoid "I feel" and "I believe" to state your opinion. You should just state it. Make sure you have separate paragraphs, include quotes from the poems to support your point of view, and include an MLA formatted Works Cited page.
